Call for Papers

p.a.v.e. Inaugural Symposium on Entrepreneurship and the Arts
Paving the way to a sustainable future for the arts.

Deadline: Tuesday, April 1, 2008

The Herberger College School of Theatre and Film at Arizona State University is hosting its first Symposium on Entrepreneurship and the Arts, Nov. 7-8, 2008 in Tempe, Ariz.

The school is seeking proposals for 20-minute papers that address one of the following three topics:

  • Business Ethics in the Arts
  • Arts Entrepreneurship Education
  • Launching and Sustaining an Arts-based Venture

The symposium promises to join scholars, artists and entrepreneurs from a variety of disciplines. The symposium will address and discuss leading concerns about arts entrepreneurship in education, ethics and responsibilities in launching new artistic ventures, and current models for launching entrepreneurial ventures in the arts.

To apply, please submit a 300-word abstract and recent bio by Tuesday, April 1, 2008 to:
