Second Bi-annual Symposium on entrepreneurship and the arts:
Creating Infrastructure for Creativity and Innovation
The second annual p.a.v.e. symposium in entrepreneurship and the arts will be held
April 1–2, 2011 in Tempe, Arizona. The symposium will include public discussions, workshops, showings and networking
opportunities. The keynote address, New Pathways in Times of Uncertainty, will be delivered by Ben Cameron, program director for the arts for the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
Confirmed interactive workshops include:
- Discovering your ‘WHY?’: Artist Empowerment and Self-management led by Lisa Canning of the Institute for Arts Entrepreneurship
- Self-knowledge and Directions of Growth: Building Your Personal and Creative Infrastructure led by John Cimino, president of Creative Leaps International
- Legal Issues for Artists led by Volunteer Legal Assistance for the Arts
- Ideas to Reality: Vision, Structure, Audience, and Funding led by Shelley Cohn, former executive director of the Arizona Commission on the Arts
All symposium events are free and open to the public but pre-registration is required to assure you place. Registration will open in October.
