Productions Performance in the Borderlands: Spring 2006 Under the auspices of the Performance in the Borderlands Project at Arizona State University, this series features lectures, workshops, screenings, performance and public discussions with artists, critics, scholars and community members about the history, current state and future of the performing arts of the U.S./Mexico Borderlands region and beyond. February 17, 18 and 23-25 In conjunction with the production of Suzan Lori Parks' Venus, the School of Theatre and Film is offering public symposium on African Diasporic Performance. Nationally renowned scholars and practitioners of African-American theatre and performance will gather for two days of critical conversation about the history, politic s and future of the field.
