MainStage Production Manual: Preface

Production, or the design, planning, rehearsal, assembly, and execution of performed events (or plays) is a critical and integral part of a theatre education.  The ASU Herberger College School of Theatre and Film provides production opportunities that are integral to a student’s theatre education; complement the classroom and studio curricula; enrich the cultural life of the university, the community, the state and the region; and move the art of the theatre into the future.

This set of guidelines and procedures is designed to free your creativity by setting up expectations everyone understands, allowing people to concentrate on creating the art onstage, rather than inventing procedures from scratch for each production.
